Ecolint Institute

Supporting life-long learning

The Ecolint Institute was created in 2010 by the International School of Geneva (Ecolint). It offers professional training and pedagogy-related events to Ecolint staff and to the public, focusing on the following goals:

  • Encouraging continuing professional education
  • Publicly sharing Ecolint's expertise in international education, where we have been a pioneer since 1924.
  • Promoting education for peace, a fundamental concept at Ecolint.
  • Fostering pedagogical innovation and disseminating the results of research in the field of education.

Our mission

The Institute's stated mission is, first and foremost, to promote lifelong learning among members of the Ecolint community. It seeks to lead and promote research-informed, best practice in pedagogy, both to support Foundation-wide educational initiatives and to encourage and disseminate the results of educational research within the Foundation and in local and international communities.

To ensure these aims, the Institute at present offers professional development opportunities and organises pedagogical and cultural events for staff, students and the public. In addition, the Institute coordinates diploma or certificate courses in collaboration with prestigious higher education institutions including Durham University (UK), Oxford Brookes University and the University of Geneva.

Further information can be found on the Ecolint Institute website or by email at institute@ecolint.ch.
