TEACHER OF DRAMA

Part-time: Afterschool Activities with ENCORE (on the three campuses).

Seeks for school year 2025-2026, and asap for on-call replacements for the current school year

 

Job purpose:

  • We are looking for an enthusiastic Drama teacher for our students. The post holder will be a passionate teacher with experience of teaching Drama. The post holder will report to the Head of ENCORE.
  • The post holder will be able to engage practically and imaginatively with the after school programme, and stimulate the passions and interests of young people in developing the craft of performance. Lessons are taught outside normal school hours in English and French.
  • There may be opportunities for occasional teaching cover in the LAMDA department.
     

Responsibilities:

  • Teach drama to Primary Middle and Secondary students, aged from 5 to 16 years old.
  • Communicating regularly with parents, students and other Drama staff. 
     

Personal requirements:

  • Knowledge or experience in technical theatre.
  • Fluency in English with the ability to speak French.
  • ICT skills: Google Level one
  • Willingness to be involved in the organisation and production of theatre productions.
  • Proven ability to plan, deliver and evaluate drama lessons which stimulate and motivate students. 
  • Ability to inspire and support young people of all ages within their learning.
  • Ability to communicate regularly and effectively with members of the ENCORE department, students and parents.
  • Ability to take the initiative as required to develop the skills and confidence of students.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to appropriately assign material to students, which excites and inspires them.
