Payroll specialist
Full-time - 40h/week
Reporting to the HR and Remuneration Process Manager, the Payroll Specialist will have the following responsibilities and requirements:
Responsibilities:
- Supervising the preparation, checks and monthly payroll for the Foundation (1,300 employees in 2 cantons)
- Responsible for the Foundation's annual closing
- Point of contact for the competent authorities for AVS, LAA, source taxes, and our Abacus integrator
- Responsible for accounting reconciliations
- Updating the HR system with accurate entries that comply with legislation
- Ensure compliance with current legal regulations on payroll, accounting, LOB and tax (including cross-border commuters)
- Extract lists and statistics from Abacus
- Point of contact for auditors
- Provide salary details for insurance purposes
- Validate invoices
- Pay holiday balances on departure
- Support the payroll officer
- Improve payroll management and reporting
- Share information and news within the HR team and the Foundation
Personal requirements:
- You have 5 years' experience on the Abacus Swiss payroll system
- You have 3 years' experience as a payroll manager
- You are fluent in French and English (B2 level minimum)
- You have the Swiss HR Certificate, or an equivalent diploma in payroll, accounting and social insurance in Switzerland
- You are able to work collaboratively
- Good analytical, time management and problem-solving skills
- Rigorous and accurate
- Good command of office tools, particularly MS Excel
- Sense of confidentiality
