Classroom Assistant – Middle School (English-Language Programme - Year 5 or 6 classes)

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Classroom Assistant to join our Middle School team in the English-speaking program. The successful candidate will work closely with the Year 5 or 6 class teachers to provide support in delivering a high-quality, inclusive, and engaging learning experience for students.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in preparing and implementing lesson plans and activities.
  • Support students with their learning, ensuring that they are engaged and actively participating in class.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed, especially for those with additional learning needs.
  • Help to maintain a positive and well-organized classroom environment.
  • Assist with classroom administrative tasks such as organizing materials, setting up displays, and preparing learning resources.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized learning plans for students.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other staff members regarding students’ progress and well-being.
  • Support the integration of educational technology and digital tools into daily lessons.
     

Personal requirements:

  • A passion for working with children and supporting their development in an international school setting.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma; a relevant teaching assistant qualification or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Previous experience working with children in a school environment, preferably with students of middle school age.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written); knowledge of other languages is a plus.
  • A proactive, organized, and flexible approach to work.
  • A commitment to the values of Ecolint, promoting diversity, inclusion, and international understanding.
